You pose an interesting question. I personally have not encountered any trees that I recognize as temperate deciduous. Some of my acquaintances have true oak trees on their property, but I don&#039;t know whether they are deciduous or evergreen, like Live Oak. I&#039;ll try to find out. Meantime, it would be interesting if a reader happens to know the answer to your question.

Also what I´m interested is in temperate deciduous trees growing in the tropics, how do they adapt (if so) and do they stay evergreen or loose leaves, even thow with little  yearly daylight hour change. If anyone knows, please let me know:
